Tattoo girl

My love for Tattoos has been for a  while. I have been inked twice and will be surely getting something done soon.

I recently came across Bourjois Nail Tattoos. I think this is like the coolest thing ever.

It gives a beautiful Tattoo effect on your nail. And they have some really cool designs.

This one is a very Maori design. I love how it looks.

These designs suit with a nice nude base for a more subtle effect. I used So Laque Glossy #11 Indispen-sable I am sure it will look amazing with neon base too. Should try that next time.

Cuticle care

The excessive use of nail paints had left my nails very under nourished.

I decided to try Sally Hansen Nail and Cuticle oil.

The description of this product is as below:

An intensely moisturizing Vitamin E oil that softens cuticles and cares for dry, brittle nails. Natural Essential Oil Complex with Vitamin E, Wheat Germ, Apricot Kernel, Aloe & Panthenol moisturizes & conditions cuticles while increasing nail flexibility. Salon tested. Dermatologist tested.

However I needed to use it a couple of times to test if it actually nourishes my nails and cuticles.

I was surprised by the results. This product is a go to product for people with dry cuticles. It nourishes deeply and it isn't too oily so you can work while it's on your fingers

Grey Hound

I'm in love with Sally Hansen literally. They have the most amazing nail colors and this color seems to be my new favourite.

I applied two coats of Complete Salon Manicure shade Commander in chic as a base coat. You do not have to separately apply a base coat while using Complete Salon Manicure

To this I applied Xtreme Wear Hard As Nails shade 200 Strobe Light only on the tips creating a shiny gradient on the top.

To give it an even finish I used a top coat of Diamond Strength.

And there you go...chic nails in just 5 minutes.

Ombre styled Nail Art

I wanted to experiment with the Ombre look for some time now. Finally I got to doing it.

I chose a silver colored base from Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City Shade #220. A single coat was good enough for the base.

For the ombre look I chose a contrasting shade. I chose this pretty color again of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pep-plum Shade #230.

Using a wedge shaped sponge and applying a bit of the color on the sponge I dabbed the sponge on the tip of my nail to get the desired effect.

Then using the Salon Manicure Top coat apply it on your nails for an even finish

What you have is a trendy nail art in just five minutes!

Cupcake love

My love for pastels continue. Today I used two beautiful  colors from Rimmel.

I used the Salon Pro Lycra range of Rimmel. This range has a very  different packaging compared to the other range of Rita Ora of Rimmel. This is  a cylindrical packaged  nail enamel. The brush is thick and fan shaped so application  is easy.

I used shade 247 Isn't  She Precious and shade 312 Ultra Violet.

I also used  the Bourjois Nail Art kit with the bow tie to make a very simple and sweet looking nail art.

Minty Me

Today I wore a mint polka dotted top and so I thought why not paint my nails in a nice mint shade.

So I decided to try the new launch of Sally Hansen from the range Triple Shine Shade 280 Dive In.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Shade 280 Dive In

The shade is a really subtle looking shade. It works well if you want to pair it with any color from the Pastel family, greys, blacks, whites and pinks.

The Triple Shine range has got an impressive range of colors. I wore two coats to get the desired effect. The brush is thick a little like the Complete Salon Manicure brush. The range boasts of high intensity shine. However I thought it hardly lived up to its name. The packaging is very rectangular. The cap comes off and there is another cap holding the brush. I would rate this nail paint as 3/5.

I decided to give a twist to the entire look by doing an odd finger in another shade. For this I chose Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color. This product sure is unique. I used Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color Shade 906 Iconic Indigo.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color Shade 906 Iconic Indigo

After applying a coat while the paint is still wet you need to use the cap over the nail keeping a 10mm gap. The cap acts as a magnet and creates waves on the wet paint. Truly a fascinating product. I would rate this product a 4/5

The entire look!!!

Coral Hung Over

My fascination with finding the perfect Coral shade continues.

I came across this beautiful shade of brand Maxfactor from their Max Effect Mini Nail Polish called Alluring Coral Shade No. 61.

Maxfactor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish
Rs.310/-

This mini nail polish is cute and easy to carry for any last minute fixes. Also the Alluring Coral shade is a classic Coral that will go on most skin tones. The brush of the nail paint is thin which makes the application easy. You need to apply two coats of the nail paint for the desired results.

Lasted for a week without chipping was happy with the way my nails looked!
